この程度のものを作れる技術者なら、日本にもうようよおる。そこいらへんにいっぱいおる。作れる技術力なら、日本だってアメリカに勝るとも劣らん。だが、作らせることができるリーダーシップとコラボレーションの体制に関しては、彼我の差はまるで大人と子供、いや、大人と赤ん坊だ。作れる技術は十二分にあるのに、作らせるほうがボンクラなので、日本にはせいぜいこの程度のおもちゃしか作れない。な、情けねー。「そんなことはない」という政治家やお役人方、じゃあ、作ってみろよ。賭けてもいいが、絶対に作れないから。どんなに優秀なＩＴ技術者を大量に雇っても、金を湯水のように注ぎ込んでも、絶対に作れないから。その理由は、あんたがたがいちばんよく知っているはずだ。

　このオバマ政権の IT DASHBOARD の開発に携わった技術者を全員日本にヘッドハントしてきて日本の“電子政府の総合窓口”とやらを作らせたとしても、現状と似たり寄ったりのろくでもないものしかできないと断言できる。つまるところ、問題の本質はじつに簡単なことなのだ。つまり、ＩＴの力を引き出せるかどうかは、コンピュータ技術の問題でもなければ、ソフトウェア開発技術の問題でもないということである。
